Happy Birthday Mummy (:

It might not be the most wondrous of period to celebrate but I hope today's celebration brought a smile & some love to you. I don't think you will feel any much better over the long haul but I hope today was a short short respite and to let yknow that we will always love and support you, so please please don't get so stressed up and learn to take a breather and just relax at points of time. I'm so afraid you will just burn out and break down. You can't do this to us, we need you and you need us. (: We will go through this strong and united!

Post prelims

Post prelims have been all about $$$-making (:

Now that it is not, i don't really know what to do at home. Which reminds me there is portfolio to be handed in :/ I'll do it real soon, still not gungho about writing about GWX yet. Buffet tmr with honeymoon&yen, hope my legs can hold up lol!

Got to start packing the studyrm too, it's in a huge mess after prelims. After packing up, shall start studying again but in a more organised way this time round. Prelims was alright except for physics & math perhaps. I hope I didn't screw gp up. Ok, after saying tht, it doesn't sound that promising after all. Ohwells ):

1 more month to A levels, come on come on.

Anyway, some young lady bumped into our car's backside earlier in the afternoon. IT was just a slight kiss in the butt but surprisingly the impact was not that small. When daddy got down to inquire, the lady cried lol. Daddy looked lost, a little frightened haha.It was quite amusing to watch. She carried a rabbit out of the car! :O Everything's been almost cleared out I think. This car is quite the unfortunate, with 2 bangs in this year alone. Erps :/ Daddy is a real nice guy, even though it was the lady's fault, he offered to drive his car down to her house for her father to inspect? Crazy... the petrol no need money meh? I should learn from my dad. He even asked her to take care & no need to be so traumatized during the phonecall. This is just odd, haha.

Ok, I've not got much to blog about anymore.. ohyea, dawn sher and I had a real nice long talk on friday evening hahah. Nice to just chit-chat (:

Police & Talk
Today was quite an exciting day. I witnessed a police investigation and had a long talk with 姑姑 after that.

The police investigation arose as some dudes caused trouble at my grandparents' provision shop. Three things supposedly happened.
1. Dude A asked to change notes. He supposedly gave 爷爷 $2 note, but when 爷爷 gave him the change, he demanded that he had given $10 note instead. (what the hell right)
2. Dude B stole some drinks and ran away. 阿妈 only saw a hand so not much evidence there.
3. Dude A out of a fit of anger, smashed a mirror at the shop, littering the floor with glass pieces.
Funny thing was the dudes (they were a gang I think) STAYED AT THE SHOP even after causing the destruction. 阿妈 called daddy and daddy called the police. Then daddy & I made our way down.

By the time we got there, 2 policemen were there, 1 questioning dude A, the other questioning 阿妈 with the help of a very kind neighbour. Dude A steadfastly denied he gave the $2 note and it was 爷爷 who had cheated him of his money. I could remember snippets of his argument. "There isn't a CCTV so you cannot say that I stole the money. There is no evidence."

Well, I agreed with dude A. No matter how your gut feeling knows that this guy really did commit the crime, but without evidence, you just cannot tie him to it. The law does kinda sucks huh. It is just his words to my grandparents'. & yknow how elderly might be less credible at situations such as this. Anyway, it was this back & forth for a good 2 hours about the change and the theft. Because there was just noooo concrete evidence.

But one thing is clear. He had smashed the mirror. The evidence is all over the floor. Unfortunately, he wasn't charged, but records were taken and he is forbidden to be around the area anymore. What an odd thing, it's kinda hard to enforce right?

There were many residents who lent their help to 爷爷&阿妈. There was this guy who came up to tell the policeman that the gang had actually stolen a fish tank from him a few years ago. This was just to make the gang look worse I guess. But the effort was a great gesture. (:

Anyhow, through this, the vulnerability & security of my grandparents are greatly highlighted. They are getting on with age, it's going to be easier and easier to trick/harm these elderly folks. What's more, this time round it is just a smashed mirror, what if the next time round it is bodily harm? Something ought to be done but what? :/

Anyway, after the whole saga, I was upstairs with 姑姑 and we had a real long talk. The last time we did such a heart-to-heart talk was 10plus years ago? It was when I was still in kindergarten and love the long phone calls to 姑姑's office during her lunch hour. We could talk for 45min at one go. About what? I seriously have no idea xD what can a 5 year old talk about? Anyhow, it was just enlightening and heartening to know we could still connect after such a long time. I have been feeling guilty about not being able to respond as warmly as I did last time. Thankfully it isn't the case. I believe it was just not the right time.

I sat on the kitchen tiles and it brought sweet memories back to me, 姑姑 and also 爷爷&阿妈. Should have seen the smile on their faces haha, especially 爷爷. Heartwarming (: Below is the exact spot I had sat on today.

Anyway, all these means that I didn't do any work today! :D hahaha, but it was time well spent. Wouldn't have traded it with anything.

Ohyes, I saw a truckload of LIVE GOATS being transported just now. Daddy said they are on their way to be slaughtered. Looking at those goats, with their horns and fur flying in the wind, I did feel a sense of guilt for eating them. :/ Do they know they are on their way to be killed? If they do, they must feel downright terrible... Gosh. OK i rather not think about it if not I might turn vegetarian soon. But my love for meat goes way back, I guess it just diminished a little.

It's nearly 1 now. Going to bed soon. Night.

BROKEN TELEPHONE
What a night-day!

DJSLX had an abs-building-stomach-filling whacky day (:

Last Night
- 2345: Gary messaged to say tuition was cancelled… Our KWAY CHAP EATING & SPEC MAKING PLAN WAS IN JEOPARDY LATE INTO THE NIGHT. I sent out sms to the rest and only dawn and linh replied immediately. After a slight sms frenzy, we decided to CONFERENCE CALL.
- CONFERENCE CALL WAS THE BOMB. For some reason, both linh and I were really excited. So we just kept giggling for a good 5 min when the call finally got through to the 3 of us using dawn’s superb phone hahaha.
- Luckily jess replied before we got down to business so jess was added to the conference call. So 4 OF US WERE TALKING ON THE PHONE AT THE SAME TIME. It was just full of noise, inaudible voices and laughter haha. REALLY FUNNY. Aye, we all thought sher was asleep already hahah. If only you had checked your phone! Anyway, we decided to go ahead with the plan after much gibberish (:
- I couldn’t sleep for at least half an hour because of the endorphin and excitement running through my brain after the highly-intensifying call despite the fact I was falling asleep before that. :D
Morning
7.30am:
- Daddy picked up DJS from clement bus stop. The 3 of them bounded up the car. Jess was wearing red because she thinks it would be really patriotic to do so 2 days before National Day xD
- As we travelled to sch to pick linh, Sher said it felt like a road trip! With the bumps on the road and slouching and conversations in the car, it really did felt like one. (: As we usually say in this kind of scenario: “Let’s do it next time! OH YEA, DAWN & LINH WONT BE WITH US ANYMORE….. nvm, we can have a road trip in US, from dawn’s place to linh’s place and back to dawn’s place.” Lol (:
- 7.50am: Picked linh up from the bus stop. Dawn leaped from the 2^nd row to the 3^rd row seat. :D
- 8.00am: We reached lorong 8 hawker center. Felt like we ended up in Malaysia due to the quite old feel of the market area. Poor linh couldn’t stand the ‘hawker center smell’. Sigh, must have spoilt the kway chap experience right?
- 8plus:
- Dawn and I went to order and nearly made a fool of ourselves commenting on the Chinese names of the pig internal organs and guessing the identity of each odd-looking thing LOL. Anyway, it was really cheap: $8.10 only for 5!!
- Linh and I had a good plate of small & large intestines to ourselves. xD the 3 of them just wrinkled their face up at the mere thought of getting touching it with chopsticks.
- It was good, but the tau pok was missing. And as usual, linh can’t finish her food!! So ever the good garbage bin, I finished it for her (: Had a real satisfying meal! Hope you enjoy it linh!
After Breakfast
- Walked to the bus stop.
- At the traffic light, a crazy idea went through sher and jess heads. They wanted to pose at the temple situated at the junction, wearing thick winter clothings, climb out the many flights of stairs and take a picture. TO PRETEND THEY ARE IN US? Is it? Hahah, it was really funny!
- Boarded the bus and sher complained abt her slippers. After some attempts to lessen the pain, sher and jess had the ingenious idea to exchange shoes. This explains the pictures below (: I ended up wearing sher’s slippers! So hilarious (:
In School
- Studied at raja
- Random funny moments (:
Yall look really happy and contented with each other here. No WAR.

Afternoon
- Went to clementi to have jess’s spectacles made.
- Woah, it was real tough having to decide between the 2 pairs! At least we managed to shortlist down to 2. We had much fun trying on glasses (:let’s just see whether we made the right choice on weds :D
- Lunch at sumo house was the ultimate.
Time just flew past like that. (: end of our day because jess has to go meet somebody.. the 4 of us went to big bookshop for a while. :D
